February 25th, 2006 - In his first meet under the new code of points, a few weeks ago Jason took his shot at the 2006 Winter Cup Challange. He scored a 27.600 total on pommel horse for 13th placed and a 29.200 on still rings for 7th place. Due to his dedication to Team USA, Jason was named to a member of the National Team. Congrats Jason!

November 22nd, 2005 - Scoring a 9.650, Jason took 8th place, and the last spot in the qualifying round of the 2005 World Championships. He will be the lone American Male in the Event Finals, taking place Saturday. Good Luck Jason!

November 21st, 2005 - Jason will start his competition in session three, rotation six tomorrow as he competes in the parallel bars! The USA Team has been in Australia for more than a week and are all set for competition. Good Luck Jason!

October 26th, 2005 - USA Gymnastics announced it's lineup for the upcoming World Championships. Jason was put on the team for the individual event finals for parallel bars. Justin Spring will be the only other USA Gymnast competiting in that event final!

October 17th, 2005 - After a weekend of competition at the US Olympic Training Center, Jason proved himself ready enough for the World Championships next month. After much debate the selection comitee announced it's team this morning. Jason was named along with Todd Thorton, Kevin Tan, Sean Golden, Yewki Tomita, and Justin Spring. The alternate is David Sender. The World Championships start on November 22nd. Congrats Jason!

August 10th, 2005 - Jason announced last week that he will not be competing at the 2005 USA Gymnastics Championships. His knee has not quiet healed and it was better to take the competition off than do futher damange. No word yet on whether or not he is still planning on trying for the World Team!

July 1st, 2005 - Jason's knee surgery was successful, the damange wasn't as bad as it was first announced. He will rehab throughout the summer and hope to be back by January!

June 13th, 2005 - We have sad news to report. Jason hurt his knee again in training this past weekend. As he was doing a double layout off high bar he overrotated re-injuring his bad knee. It is reported that he has five bone chips and will be having surgery to repair them on Wednesday. Showing no signs of giving up, Jason hopes for a speedy recovery!

March 8th, 2005 - Jason competed at the American Cup, although he did not make it into any of the event finals. He still made it through the meet and is looking forward to the upcoming meets in June to qualify for nationals. Inside Gymnastics posted an article about Mohini Bhardwaj today and her recent move to Colorado. In the article she talks about her relationship with Jason and how they've helped eachother the last few months.

February 8th, 2005 - Although Jason only competed one event this weekend at the Winter Cup, he went in for a win. He won the parallel bar competition with a score of 9.700. It also gave him the chance to recieve an invitation to the 2005 American Cup which will take place on February 26th! Congrats Jason!

November 27th, 2004 - Jason and the USA Team have wrapped up their last stop on the TJ Maxx tour today in Florida. Jason will now head back to Colorado to resume training!

August 16th, 2004 - In the defining moment of his gymnastics career tonight, Jason Gatson, helped push the USA Team ahead of China when he nailed his parallel bar set. For the first time since 1932, the USA Team stood on the medal stand at a non boycotted olympics, it was of course the silver, just behind Japan. WAY TO GO TEAM USA!

August 15th, 2004 - The Line-Up for tomorrows competition has been announced. Jason will only be competing in two events due to the 6-3-3 format of the competition. He will compete in Still Rings & Parallel Bars, although he is still the alternate for Pommel Horse incase another member is unable to compete.

August 14th, 2004 - Jason competed today in the Olympic Prelims competition! He competed on all but floor and vault due to his back injury earlier this season. After a mixup in the high bar routines, Jason had a slight problem but came back to help the team to a second place finish behind Japan. Jason is the 3rd alternate for the Parallel Bars Competition as well. Good Luck Team USA On Monday!

August 12th, 2004 - Jason and the USA Team have been training hard and are excited for a great competition. Jason will be competeing Parallel Bars, High Bar, Pommel Horse, & Still Rings. Team USA Will be in the second subdivision and competing at 4:30 in the afternoon. They will not be marching in the opening ceremonies. Good LUCK USA!

August 8th, 2004 - Jason and the team have arrived SAFELY in Athens! They are training on the equipment and all is going well for the team. Jason Recently commited to be on the 2004 TJ Maxx Tour! The dates can be found on the schedule page.

July 30th, 2004 - Jason and the Olympic Team have been continuing to train in Colorado and are preparing for the upcoming competition. They will leave on August 4th for Athens and will train until the Olympics there. In the August issue of Sports Illustarated there is an article on the Men's Olympic Team. Good Luck in Athens JASON!

July 25th, 2004 - On July 15th the final team was finally announced. Along with Jason, Paul, Morgan & Brett, are Guard Young & Blaine Wilson traveling to Athens. The Alternates are Raj Bhavsar and Steven McCain. The team will leave on the 4th of August and prepare for the competition which begins on the 14th. Good Luck Jason!!!!

June 26th, 2004 - After 6 knee surgeries, 4 years , & a back injury, Jason Gatson has been named to the 2004 Olympic Team! His fellow teammates are Paul & Morgan Hamm, & Brett McClure. The final two members and the alts of the team will be announced late in July. Jason's from tonight are as follows:

June 24th, 2004 - Still fighting his injury, Jason did not compete floor or vault tonight. He had an awesome meet otherwise scoring a 38.25 all around on just four events. He will compete again on Saturday night in finals!

June 1st, 2004 - Due to a back injury, Jason has withdrawn from the 2004 National Championships. The injury happened a few weeks ago, although is not all that serious, Jason and his coaches have decided it's best to rest up for the Olympic Trials. He will continue to undergo therapy and hopes to be back in shape for the Olympic Trials June 26th. Good luck in your recovery Jas!

April 16th, 2004 - Last night was the first round of the Pacific Alliance competition in Hawaii! The USA Mens team placed first in the competition! Jason did not compete all around although did awesome in the events he did compete in! Qualifying to event finals in pommel horse, still rings, and high bar! Congrats Jason!

April 10th, 2004 - Jason Will be competing in the Pacific Alliance Competition next week in Hawaii. The mens competition starts on Wednesday around 7 PM and the Event Finals will take place on Friday around 7PM... Good Luck Jason and the USA Team!

March 17th, 2004 - Jason was supposed to compete in todays Olympic Test event in Athens although he came down with food poisioning and was unable to compete. His USA Teammate Sasha Artemev did awesome placing third all around! Tomorrow is the event finals, where Jason will be unable to compete since he was unable to qualify.

February 29th, 2004 - Jason competed in todays American Cup against top athletes from around the world. The last time Jason had competed in the American Cup was in 1999, where he barely lost the title to Blaine Wilson. Today it came down to the final rotation, and when Paul Hamm fell from the High Bar, Jason secured the gold. Jason also won the parallel bars title and the still rings title. When teammate Blaine Wilson went down with an injury, Jason was one of the first to go over to him and pat him on the back... Both Blaine and Jason knew what eachother was thinking...

February 8th, 2004 - Jason competed last night in the event finals of the Winter Cup. He finished 1st on the floor exercise, 3rd on parallel bars, and 4th on still rings! Congrats on an amazing competition Jason!

February 6st, 2004 - Jason competed tonight at the winter cup, where he placed 3rd!!!!!! His scores went as follows:

Janauary 21st, 2004 - Last weekend Jason competed in the Rocky Mountain open in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was the first meet of the season and Jason finished 3rd behind Steve McCain and Brett McClure. Jason also made it to still rings finals where he won the event. His next meet coming up is the Winter Cup on February 5th, 2004.
